Samer Jaber, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist who treats all ages and skin types and provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care for every patient. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Founder of Washington Square Dermatology.
Dr. Jaber is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he teaches medical students and dermatology residents. In recognition for his work, he received the “Teacher of the Year Award” in 2012, the “Teaching Excellence Award” in 2013, and “Mentor of the Year Award” in 2015 and “Excellence in Teaching Award” in 2016. Dr. Jaber has also been acknowledged on many “Best Doctor” lists and was selected as a New York Times “Super Doctor Rising Star” in 2015 and 2016.
Dr. Jaber graduated with honors from the University of Florida, and received his medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. While in medical school, he was selected for the prestigious Clinical Research Training Program fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. At the NIH, Dr. Jaber studied T-cell immunology and skin reactions in patients with melanoma being treated with a novel anti-cancer immune agent. He subsequently completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan and his dermatology residency at the University of Rochester, where he was appointed chief resident.
Dr. Jaber’s dedication to the dermatology specialty is especially evident in the time he spends volunteering both locally and abroad. He donates his services at events ranging from community fairs to professional sporting events, but his true passion lies in service opportunities abroad. Dr. Jaber proudly serves as a founding advisory board member for the Vaseline Healing Project, an international health project aimed to improve the skin health of those suffering from refugee or crisis situations.
Meet Dr. Park
Michelle E. Park, M.D. provides dermatologic care to patients of all ages and skin types. She is passionate about providing the highest quality of dermatologic care and aims to make you feel at ease while serving all your skin concerns with compassion and a determination to achieve the best results possible.
Dr. Park graduated with honors from Barnard College, Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Economics and Psychology and a minor in Spanish, then completed a Post-baccalaureate Pre-medical program at New York University. She received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Distinction in Research. During her time in medical school, she was awarded the Einstein Global Health Fellowship, as well as the Einstein Research Fellowship which allowed her to complete one year of research on cancer metabolism and skin cancer signaling pathways at Weill Cornell Medical College. After medical school, she completed her medical internship at NYU-Winthrop Hospital and returned to Albert Einstein for her dermatology residency, where she received excellent training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
She is very excited to be a part of the team at Washington Square Dermatology, and in her spare time she likes to snowboard, travel, explore new restaurants, and enjoy all performing arts.
Meet PA Susanna
Susanna Franks is a board-certified physician assistant who provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care for patients with the utmost care and compassion.
She graduated from Barnard College at Columbia University with a BA in Biology, and after graduation worked at Mount Sinai School of Medicine performing research in regenerative and developmental biology. After a year of research, she followed her passion and worked as a medical assistant in dermatology for two years in NYC before attending Yale University School of Medicine’s PA program.
During her training at Yale, Susanna continued to foster her interest in the field of dermatology, and completed a competitive rotation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, focusing on skin cancer surveillance and treatment.
Susanna’s passion for dermatology, background in the field, and her kind, caring nature complement Dr. Jaber’s commitment to patient wellness.
In her free time she enjoys photography, art, and drinking coffee.
